I’m living in Colorado (Denver area) and am new to Tacomas and working on my own vehicle. Are there any trusted people on this forum who live in Colorado or know people who live around here that I can chat with/hangout and work on my 2004 sr5 v6 and they know the issues specifically involved with 1st gens? Thanks!

You would get more responses if you would be a little more specific and tell us the name of the city in which you live.

I live in the suburbs outside of Denver but am willing to travel! Sorry for not being more specific.

Could be a little nerve wrecking for some to start wrenching on their own car.

I always suggest people become acquainted with said vehicle and suggest doing your own maintenance. You'll gain the confidence needed later on to start tackling bigger tasks and next thing you know, you'll look for other things to replace or improve upon.

These trucks are stupid easy to work on with the exception of those from salt using states; rust is a bitch but impact wrenches are your friend

Just remember; 1 to 2 ugga duggas is tight enough for most things :anonymous:

When I lived out there I always took my cars the Independent Motors in Boulder.

They really treated me well and used high quality parts before I knew the difference. For example they did the LBJs on my truck with 555 brand which if you look around on here is often considered next best to OEM.

They also often have a loaner car available so you can still get around for a day or two. That was huge for me!
