I am running the ADS extended travel 2.5 in the rear currently with my Medium (6-leaf) Dakars.
I usually run a max of 300lbs of weight on camping trips, but no more than 50-85lbs in the bed for most of my driving. I do not want a stiff/jarring ride and will never have a RTT. What is the best Deaver pack? Is Deaver the best? Don't want to constantly hit my bump stops for daily driving (running 4.25" Durobumps) Thanks.

This is probably what you want:

    https://deaverspring.com/product/tacoma-2wd-4wd-6-lug-2005-2018-10-leaf-spring-1-inch-lift-rear/

If you want more weight capacity, get their U402

They should have a very supple, progressive ride and pair well with your ADS shocks.

If you like the idea of the J66, but want more height, just call them and they will make them with extra arch built in.

IMO, they're running more weight than the pack is designed for, or they need to tune their shocks with more compression valving. Most likely the shocks if they're bottoming out. People want stuff to ride nice on the street, then expect it to handle being hammered in the whoops. Can't have both, but you can have a firm ride on the street, and decent performance offroad if you tune them right. Maybe add a flutter stack to the shim stack.

Not the springs fault if it's being used outside it's design parameters.

I have J59's on my first gen, which is a 1.5" lift, 8 leaf pack (comparable to the J66 for 3rd gens), and it works fantastic even with a bed rack and a heavy RTT + camping gear. I hammer the crap out of mine, and need hydro bumps just because there's only so much you can do with 10" of travel.

It's hard to see how much my wheels are moving in this video, but the whoops are 9-15" high, and i'm doing about 45-50mph. Not pretending I'm a trophy truck, but with only 9" of travel up front and about 10 in the rear, it still floats nicely with a fully loaded cooler and other camping shit in back.

I like it, looks like fun! I do have the adjustable clickers on my resis, so adjustment for valve tuning is not a problem, and the shocks have a flutter stack. Sounds like the J66 would be ideal then. Any other comparable leaf packs? I also have my stock leaf pack, would it be worth doing an AAl kit to that?

Ive got dakars HDs not a lot of weight in the back. With ome shocks was like a shopping cart ride with king rears buttery smooth now. Front going in this weekend but I wheel mine fairly often havnt had no squeaks outta the leafs.

I use to have the HD's (-leafs) then took the 3rd leaf from the top out. The ride is way better. Shock valving does make a difference. I thought the OME was smooth, boy was I wrong when I got the adjustable ADS installed. Articulation is nuts at 9.6" of shock travel.

The F85 is a 3 leaf mini-pack. Icon sells it too (made by Deaver from what I understand, but I could be wrong)

That’s the only AAL I can recommend. Just replaces the factory overload leaf

Do you think the flexibility would work with my extended travel rear shocks? I basically have 5.5" more/left of articulation of shock from the truck sitting flat

Yes they kings are rated like 24in full extension the icons I had were 23.25 so you will be good. I would get extended rear brake lines for good measure though.

Got the brake lines. I think the full extension on the ADS is 25.2"

Oh dayum thats awesome, granted I have a 2nd gen with aal an no overload I got 1.5in lift with it was 2. Honestly the aal rode better unweighted than ome, however ome with some weight is soooo smooth.

Awesome, I will likely keep my OME pack and just get the AAL for the stock pack. Can always switch em out later. Thanks for the help!
