Ahoy fellow tacoma owners! Wanted to get your thoughts on my setup. In July I will be traveling 13 hours to Oklahoma, and I can't decide what to do.

    My options are:

    1) Take mtb and DRZ (my preference)
    2) Take just mtb (love to have covered rain tight storage)
    3) remove cover and take DRZ (stuff luggage around bike...and tarp it)

I'm wondering if it's safe to haul the drz on the hitch that far with how worn out the leafs are. That rhymed #2chainzzz. I really don't care to blow a bunch of money on a new leaf pack right now - but if I were, what would you guys recommend? I saw that post of the All Pro Customer Service so I'm not even entertaining All Pro Expos anymore. @munkel had his sag after hauling his bike off the hitch also.[edit: just re-read munkels were standards and not expos] The dakars with AAL that he's running seem to work good for him.

So to sum it up! Safe to haul this setup 13 hours there, another 13 back, with worn leafs? Or don't even think about it until I get a new set of leafs? also, I don't keep more than 50~ lbs of gear in my truck for daily driving - so the stiff factor is 4 real.
