Just got my first Tacoma and noticed the OEM mudflaps are basically useless. I was wondering what others are installing on theirs.

From the pictures I've seen, the Weathertech's appear to be the most functional. To me they even look like they'll do a better job than the Canadian OEM's. I haven't seen any pics of the Husky Liners.

Anyone have any first hand advice they can give me?

If you do some searches you’ll see both pictured on trucks here.

I just ordered the Ark TriXpoly mudflaps during their 4th of july sale. They're scheduled for delivery on Thursday. I should be able to install over the weekend.

2024+ Toyota Tacoma TriXpoly Splash Guards | Ark Splash Guards | Ark Splash Guards

They have good reviews, look good, and seem to provide a lot of coverage while being flexable. I'm most concerned with their ability to keep the front tires from throwing rocks at my rear fenders. The running boards I have help but I'd like to eventually change them out for nerf bars.

I'll let you know how they go.

Aside from the ones you’ve mentioned you could also check out
    Rockblokz
    ARK
    Rally Armor

as someone else said there’s quite a few threads in the 4G forum regarding mudflaps. I got rockblokz and I like them. If I had to replace those I’d probably just do the Canadian OEM during a parts sale

I bought the weather tech ones. They went on nicely and work great. As mentioned, there are plenty of pictures around, but if you need different pics let me know happy to snap a few.

Don't get the Husky flaps. Attachment holes were way off. I had to make a cardboard template and redrill correct holes. Also came with no screws. When I complained, they sent me screws that were too long. So had to order some oem screws online elsewhere. Terrible quality control, avoid them

Mine were fine but if the Weathertech had been available at my purchase time, I would have purchased them. I’ve had Weathertech on all my trucks since 2013. I also think Rokblokz should be high on everyone’s list for consideration. They aren’t hard plastic and will survive some rock hits.
