I just moved here from Michigan two weeks ago. Drove my taco down. I have had a bad rattling in my front end since I bought my truck ('06 DCSB) in September. Took my truck in yesterday to Camelback Toyota and today they told me that it was my upper control arms that needed to be replaced due to my after market suspension (didn't fit right). They quoted me $1300 for SPC Upper Control Arms (including labor). I posted about it and everyone told me it was a huge rip off so I called Toyota back and cancelled. I was wondering if there are any independent shops anyone would recommend nearby that may be able to do it cheaper?

I take my cars to tempe imports for all general mechanic work.

Sierra expeditions and sdhq are also options. You could also try hosting a mod day and do it yourself w/ assistance.

Sierraexpeditions.com or I think avid offroad would install if you can find the UCAs elsewhere cheaper.

Definitely try Will out at Sierraexpeditions.com and talk to Brandon @ Avid offroad. Really I would buy the UCA's from state48overland.com (local guys too) and host a Meat-Beer-Tacular-extravaganza and have some fellow TW members help you out!

I have found out that a lot of these gentlemen and ladies on this site are pretty cool peeps and are usually very helpful and willing to help when needed!

    PALS!

Went with Will! He gave me a much better quote! ($1200 for UCA's, Tie Rods, Alignment, and Labor).
