RECOVERED - Stolen 14 MGM DCSB Tacoma in Illinois.

Ha. I was hoping someone would reference this movie scene. "It's called a SOUP KITCHEN!"

 

This was my Ford Ranger that was found 2 yrs after it was stolen....

 

That’s crazy.

 

Other then the ignition being busted out the truck was in remarkable shape for two yrs of abuse had a little over 14K on it when stolen 68K when recovered and was recovered almost to the day it was stolen by 2 days.....

 

Do you have any suggestions for GPS trackers? Are there any that you don't need to pay monthly fees, or just activate when your car gets stolen?

 

Dealership I used to work for used LoJack on all new cars. Apple AirTag is another idea.

 

Someone probably used it for running drugs

Glad you got your truck back but shitty you had to pay a tow fee for your stolen truck, I would’ve been pissed about that, she should have to pay it. I would definitely go through it and see if there’s any drugs or etc in it just to be safe. She may of hidden something so be careful, people on drugs do weird things.

Friend of mine had his truck stolen out of lawrenceville several years ago and had basically the same results.

Put in one of those and a kill switch inside of it. That, along with an alarm, would at least slow them down. I also put a Apple Tile in mine for tracking.

Nope, but almost anything is better than nothing.

 

True if you make it harder to steal most times they will move on to easier pickings

 

I had a 2005 stolen in San Francisco, was found about 9 months later in Daly City. Go figure. Was found when the vin was run to register it. Now it's my Nieces daily ride!
