I read the whole thing in awe. Epic story! After reading that I will never be able to make a whiney post about an inconvenient flat tire or being momentarily stuck somewhere for you sir have fought great wars lol.

It was an epic trip. The great thing is some of the other staff rallied on my behalf to assist if necessary. TW members are the best...and are always down to help another in need out.

I'm still here. I refused help. Guy showed up in a JK. Sent him packing. No way I'm letting a Jeep pull me out.

Just kidding. I'm out!!! I will tell you Southern Nevada Off Road Recovery (SNORR) is an amazing volunteer organization. 5 vehicles showed up to help. At first I was like OH great there gonna set up the lawn chairs watch and laugh.

For those who will want to know. 3 JK's, an FJ and a Tremor(insert drool emoji here).

For them to base on solid ground they had to pull me from over 75 feet away and use a snatch block as the first pull did move me an inch. I learned what a Snatch Block is. lol.

BTW. One of the JK's(the first vehicle in the caravan to arrive) pull up within 15 feet of me and he got stuck just like I did. Boy oh boy did the other 4 guys raz him and take a shit ton of photos. I tried to wave him off and even though he made eye contact with me he proceeded to get stuck. I think he might have been doing it to show how "capable" his Jeep is.

I didn't take any photos of the recovery I wish I have taking photos of that Tremor. Man that Tremor was SICK!

Tomorrow will consist of me removing 800lbs of mud.

They wouldn't take or talk about money. They are just a group of offroad enthusiasts that see it as a fun challenge. I will be making a nice donation to there group to pay it forward.

I think I am going to create a thread either here or the section for Southern Nevada for future recovery needs. Not mine I don't deserve the Tacoma and will be trading it in for a Ridgeline tomorrow. Man card pulled!!!

Glad to here the good news and funny writeup. Nah just keep your man card and Taco, since you have good stories too haha. Plus now you can warn folks that “dry” lake beds have a crusty top and feets of mud below

Only aesthetic mods so far Leer 180 cap & Clazzio covers on order.
Don't pack it in so quickly Dude. Ya just got a couple holes punched in your Man Card that's all. Now you've learned somethin' about watching ground conditions. Rocks are easier - they don't give (although they can make righteous dents). Soil & mud, particularly around a receding lake, can be dangerous as hell. Now ya know.

Glad you’re out. What’s a Tremor? In my mind I’m picturing like a Mercedes UNIMOG or 70 Series Land Cruiser from down under.

I think he's referring to the Ford F-250 Tremor. It's essentially an upgraded offroad package for the F-250-better suspension, ground clearance, etc.
