vitargo s2 is awesome but it will force you to seek out your other components from other sources. for protein i like pasturized egg whites and myoplex mixed together. its fast protein and that combined with the vitargo should have your anabolic window covered plus the other goodies like bcaa's and vitamin c :)

I ended up using this. Blend w/ milk,a banana, honey and granola.

The goals this time are not muscle build, just to have a recovery drink after runs/swims/mountain biking and 2 mild weight workouts per week. Cytomax is not 100% whey, it's a mix of a bunch of junk including glutamine so it's been working fine for me thus far.

Back when I was younger and focused on weight training only, I was all about multiple protein drinks per day and post workout BCAA's etc. but fitness goals have changed. When I ran everyday, gatorade was fine, but adding in swimming and getting back into mountain biking my body has just been sapped so the purpose of my original post was to find out what y'alls been using.

    Thanks all for your input!

I do not use ANYTHING with artificial flavorings or colors.

I was given this recipe by a Doctor, friend of mine. It's CHEAP and works like a charm.

    Buy fresh lemons/limes About 3-4 for $1.

Squeeze one on 16-24 ounces of water.

Add: Two tablespoons of sugar. I use organic semi white, but turbinado works just as well.

add: One teaspoon of of salt. I use chemical free sea salt.

Mix and drink at least 1.5 BEFORE your training.

Ususally I make it in the morning and bring it to work on a spill free bottle.

The cost is PENNIES, and it works like a CHARM!
