Try the OEM jack with nothing and if you do actually need a taller jack just carry a 2" thick piece of wood. Still fits under the seat.

Buying stuff is fun but jacks for tire changes (when the OEM works fine) is money that could go to something cooler.

Last time I had a flat it was a double flat. It was 30 below and I was trying to shove a plug into an E-load tire. Ended yo putting the spare on one and then pulling the other wheel just so I could get on top of the plug tool to force it in.

So, fixable with plugs, but definitely easier to pull wheels off.

You never know what you are going to run into. It can be fun to get a good angle with the plug tool.

So far, my needs have not been that extreme.

-30 hurts just thinking about it.

I've only ever had two flats... And those were them. You don't always need all these things but it sure is nice when you have them.

That is 100% true. I'm pretty happy with my setup for now. Scored some points fixing a flat on my wife's car in a store parking lot.

definitely get the safe jack kit. Very compact and fits right behind the rear seats. Last time my tire caught a nail 300 miles from home, I was glad to have my safe jack and stubby milwaukee impact with me. changed out with a full sized spare within 10-15 mins.

Try extending the OEM jack as high as it will go and measure it. You'd be surprised how tall it is, in fact taller than a lot of other similar options and in a smaller form factor. I've got a 3" lift and the OEM jack is tall enough for an emergency tire change. I also carry a couple small pieces of wood both to provide a wider base platform and to add a little more height if needed.

Get a scissor jack, or use the stock one. Keep a couple blocks of wood on hand. Hi Lift jacks are useless for truck stuff....I've had mine for 20 years and it gets used to pull out small trees and bushes and occasionally for moving something heavy in the shop...but I can't think of a single thing that a scissor jack won't do 10 times better than a hi lift for the truck.

Hi lift makes a wheel strap that works well, you have to put a block or stand underneath to get the wheel off if you are changing though (not a biggie as you should do that with any jack anyways).
