    This pic was the worst...

He had gone ass-end over the cliff. All the big trees were about 50' up the ridgeline, so we had to re-rig multiple times to get a good angle for the line. We got on the trail at about 10:30am, and didn't get out until almost 5:00 in the morning.

Did everyone else have that much trouble. What was the deal? bald tires? 2 Wheel drive? No locker? Driver error?

Everyone else made it through with little problem. I ended up scoring my drive shaft like a candy-cane, but that was it.

The kid was not prepared for snow (actually, no one was). He had bald M/Ts with a lunchbox locker = bad combo in the snow. Plus, his lack of recovery points and proper gear combined with single-track trail and horrible terrain made it more difficult to winch him out. It was a good learning experience for everyone, and even though it was a long-ass day, we were glad everyone made it out okay.

I bet there was some pretty severe pucker factor when these happened.

Stonewall is the fattest 5 lug slug ever
After my buddy pulled me out at three in the morning behind Merchants Tires, in the mud pits. Back end went in deep mud, had water trying to go up my tailpipe. His thing I always have a fifty foot length of rope in the truck.

This was myself learning to drive in the winter in Alaska. I don't have a picture getting pulled out, but it was a simple tow from the hitch.

Came across these guys at the local beach spot the Chevy was pretty stuck and they were trying to use a cargo ratchet strap as a snatch strap. I sat and watched
    [IMG]
After they had the strap pull out of itself once and went at it a second time i saw that the jeeps front was not engaged so i offered to help
    [IMG]
and with little effort pulled the Chevy out unfortunately no video cause camera failed.

Then there is this which was taking from the prerunner (with street tires on it) I assisted from our camp for a good portion of the trail
    [IMG]
lots of good times i rather enjoy the recovery aspect of Off Roading. Learnt valuable tricks as a broke teenager back in the day and having proper gear now makes life some what better.
