Had those on the old bush guard on my 86, don't think the bolt holes line up on a Tacoma.

That is the thing I am envious of Fords is that they have the two loops right up front

You need them on a Ford. Fords require constant towing... :infantry:

I'm looking for a second gen. According to the site it fits, but we all know how that goes. Did they hold up for you?

Most trucks I've been around had them. It kind of surprised me that the Taco didn't.

The left side loop and the OR / Pro right side hook work pretty good, if it is a light recovery. If you need a momentum to get going with snatch strap, then something more beefy would be good.

In my mind, there are two types of recoveries: (1) mud and off trail and (2) everything else. That first one is where stuff gets real.

They are pretty straight forward, I had two on the front and two on the rear tube bumper braces.
The ones I had had keepers to keep the straps on

It's a steel crossmember directly welded to the truck frame, albeit thin-walled. Its strength comes from the two braces that tie it further back to the differential mount and jacking point crossmember. The factory OR, RedRock and BPF tow hooks all bolt to the same crossmember. At least the Demon brackets wrap around the crossmember, not relying on just the shear strength of the bolts.

I definitely believe that. Most likely the stock one will work for whatever I need on my OR. But I am always open to an upgrade.

Also currently looking for something that would work on a 2nd gen sport.

Yeah. I will probably go for the ARB when it gets to the top of my list, someday. For now, the hitch shackle would be my bad day go-to.

I was originally looking at the ARB, but didn't like the pricetag or necessarily the look. But they would likely be a good option.

So, I have a TRD Sport and I just ordered a OEM Off Road front hook. Will I need to get bolts for it to mount to the factory location? I haven't looked yet nor have I received the hook yet.

I agree on both accounts. I'd paint it black, just like I did with the TRD skid. No need to advertise. :D

    Yes, you'll need the bolts.

Where do you have them mounted. I have a front runner rack and I’m looking for options

I’m picking up at set tomorrow. Where do you have them mounted. I’m looking for ideas. I have a front runner rack and I know them have a mount, just seeing what others have

Their engineers screwed you on the driveline, but they were forward thinking enough to give you good tow points
