Would these appear to be a quality strap for $13.00? What would the minimum load rating i should get? Any other requirements a strap should need? Also will buy some D ring shackles with those rubber sliencers and keep stored in truck, what would be minimum rating for those? Those in the picture are $22.00

The weight rating of what you have selected is adequate.

I've started to use soft shackles and will never buy another hard shackle. From my perspective a soft shackle has only one part; a hard shackle has two parts, one that can fall to the ground and get lost and then you have nothing - this is especially true in snow, Yes, I see you are talking about sand.

Amazon.com: TGL 2-Pack 1/2 inch by 20 inch Soft Shackles, 45,000 Pound Capacity : Automotive

Straps in 20-foot length is short in my opinion; get 30' and several of them.

Look into & understand the pros & cons of a tow strap & recovery rope. Depending on your needs.

what would the shackles be attaching to on your vehicle?

after seeing far too many videos of strap failures and 'helpful' people giving it hell and shearing bumpers clean off, i also don't particularly like the hard straps like that either.

i second the soft shackles for the attachment method, for the same reasons as already stated. the forces at play are easily something that can make a 1 pound steel shackle a deadly projectile. the colorado recovery death was one of the bigger-headline recent incidents like that, though it was a mud recovery and you'll likely be dealing with sand.

i would highly suggest a kinetic recovery rope instead. it has some give to it, which helps both with the recovery, as well as ensures it can't snap as hard as a standard tow strap will.
