Sticks out a little, yes. I havent had it hang up on anything yet. If i was rock crawling i would be more concerned. But we don't have any of that around here

Held on the same way as the factory sport ir OR point there. And im not sure if i trust the 2 tiny welds on the welded loop. But to each their own :)

I hook my loop in the rocks all the time... usually just back up a little and ram it a little harder to get the hoop past the rock and it's still attached and unbent.

I don't trust either and removed both.

I'll take a propery reinforced bumper mount over the OE transport tie downs every time. Them things ain't meant for yanking.

i didn't cut mine off purely because i had one situation that would have had me in trouble without it. should be a little better off now with the 60'' jack, but since it's never hindered my forward motion, it's stayed on just in case. couldn't reach the shackles witht he 48'', and even bumpers with designated lift points have them too high for this scenario.

Not sure if you guys have seen these. Cordura Sliders for your Recovery Straps. They can be used for when you need to pull against a rock, tree, etc. Help to protect the strap and allow it to slide through. They are included with our straps, and we also sell them separately.
