Hitch and wiring, aux back-up light, rear strobe lights, radio and underseat sub.
I guess he thought I was referring to the safety chain eyes and not the hitch pin. Both will bend, but cutting a bent hitch pin is easier than repairing the eyes (if you have access to a torch)

    ok here is a question......
you have a rear mounted winch in the trailer hitch ok....
you need to use a snatch block now you run a line to the tree or whatever and then back to the truck what do you use to hook onto the truck now????????

Simple, just hook the hook on the inner opening of the reciever. The hole goes all the way thru.......

If possible I'd hook it to a tree or another truck and distribute the load between two points instead of having the entire load pulling on a 6500lb rated hitch......

    Reviving this from the dead.
Does anyone make a 2” shackle that just uses the factory pin location on the hitch? ...rather than adding the insert which THEN has the shackle in it? Would seem incredible to me if this had never been done before.
I could see needing an insert per hand to reinforce the interior of the hitch but otherwise why add length to the hitch when it isn’t needed...
