    It's also unknown if he's 4wd...kit requirement.
17s have even more caliper clearance, no?

TRD made a kit for FJs a few years back...had a recall on them though.

Yes, the 17" wheel will offer more clearance due to the overall diameter of the wheel but the backspacing/offset of the wheel is also a key part on whether they will fit due to the larger caliper size.

It's not so much offset/backspace as it is mounting face to spoke-clearance(caliper clearance).

I don't. I was mostly joking. But if Brembo doesn't, maybe other companies do...Stoptec etc?

I did mine in red last August since I had the wheels off for dipping anyway, I like them since they get hidden a bit by the spokes being so wide. They stand out just enough though to be a good compliment to the little red TRD accent on my grille.

The reason why I'm asking about red calipers is so when I upgrade my wheels/tires/ suspension, and I have everything off, I can swap the stock for red calipers or just paint them red. I just think red calipers would be a nice addition to the new tires and would add to the overall look of the truck. So yes, I'll be upgrading the wheels if I get the larger calipers.

Cool, just wanted to make sure you were aware of the wheel fitment. Nothing like upgrading the brakes then attempt to reinstall the wheels to find out that they don't fit over the caliper.
