Ive got the patience to wait.

Only thing that would need to be clarified is how to handle the funds.

I'm still in, and don't mind sending @SUMOTNK money for these. I think we can all agree with @12TRDTacoma that if quantum was reasonably priced we would have all bought theirs already. Too little too late for them :notsure:

100% I'm in and either of the main players will take care of us. Goes to show how much the quantum markup was. I cant imagine they were selling a ton of them if we were not buying them.

I don't understand why some of the Q's are $250, and then ours are $500...surely there aren't that many people trying to put those in their Camry??

You don't want to know how much I lost this past year lol. On the bright side, I have multiple years of loss carryovers ahead of me

It's been a helluva ride. Portfolio took a beating over the pandemic and have been making up ground. If things stay the course I can pull this off if the wife will be sympathetic to our cause. I can play her heartstrings but the purse strings are the devil's music.

I'm not clear about that either and asked about it during negotiations but didnt get a straight answer.

The business answer is.... 1GRFE is a smaller production run so there's higher costs. Or maybe some of the other Toyota/Lexus/Scion platforms interchange solenoids so the larger runs brings the cost down.

The non-business answer is.... just larger profit margins.

tbh Solenoids are a whole new thing for me that I've never even given thought to before this thread. Are these a bigger mod in 4banger world or something?

Strangely, these solenoids seems like they were a hit in the Scion and Prius worlds. I own neither of those cars.

Update: this GB will be capped at 40x paid participants.

The solenoids will come stripped of excess packaging and be sent to me in bulk. I'm responsible for distribution. Red Bullet is responsible for post-purchase support and warranty claims.

Shipping will be through USPS Priority Mail (Sm or Med box) for US buyers. I will need to work individually with Canadian buyers.

Red Bullet said they can fulfill the full GB order within weeks but with sets ready to go. I've asked them to expedite an initial order of 20 pairs.

Money will be collected soon. Thank you for your patience.

I was going to ask the same question. As I was reading this thread, I saw the increased mpg numbers and it brought me back to when I installed a new oem vvt solenoid in bank1 after I broke the original one during cam gear install.
I hit 95 to 100 miles in the first 1/4 tank of gas too, but chalked it up to the -3 cam gears causing the improvement. Now I'm thinking it was just the new solenoid.
Anyway, point being, I'm now chasing a random and severe drop in mpg's which is how I found this thread and posting this.

Going to keep doing some research to figure out where I'm at, but going to watch this thread and might jump on it. oem's are 100/ea, so if these gains are realized across the board, that's a great deal considering it's only 100 more than a pair of oem ones.
