Which radio are you running now then?

I like mounted but would not mind a handheld to be able to carry with me as well.

Found the local HAM club and they have a test every Second Sunday right down the road from me, just need to study for it and find a study guide.

See if they don't offer a 'cram' session, or just find some good youtube videos out there. I've forgotten most of it by now, shame on me. I've got this guy with this antenna.

    Trying to find one now.

I had looked a couple months ago and a city over had a class for it one Saturday, just don't know if they still offer it or not.

I'm sure they do, these people really love HAM and want more people to use it.

I finally found it, but the website has not been updated. I contacted my local ARC to see what they have.

Yeah, either way pretty simple test as long as you understand the basic math functions and their safety stuff.

We can get a set of Walkies to communicate between the vehicles along the trip.
If everyone doesnt get a CB or HAM....

Heck, if both our trucks have CB, we should be fine then, doubt we will be too far apart from each other at any time.

Do they make walkie talks that work with multiple hand helds? I always thought it was 1-1.

Ok cool. So we went from a solo truck with no winch team to a 3 vehicle team! Haha. Any of the other guys have a winch?

No idea on that one! Would be nice if someone did though!

Only thing I don't like about multiple trucks is it just makes more problems possibly for breakdowns. But we will manage and we will win!

No winch on my truck, what about you @Airmain? I've got bubbarope and a shovel. I'll grab some MaxTraxs so if its super muddy we should be able to get out. If I understand it correctly most of the trails are pretty easy going with just a few tough spots, as long as we pick proper lines we shouldn't have much issue. 3 Tacoma team no way we could lose. I'm really just in it for the trails + camping, nothing like some good cold beer after a day on the trails.

Yea, that is what I am thinking, I have enough recovery gear we should be good.

I would like to get some Maxtrax soon as well, so we would be good on that as well.

You can still register, but we're not sure how he's handling the team thing. I don't really see a difference from 3 trucks to 4 but wouldn't wanna really get above that.
