Red Daytime Running Lights?

Do you know if it is possible to get your hands on red daytime running lamps for the taco? I really like the look of them, it will go with my whole black and red theme. I saw red ones on a BMW today and I drooled a bit. Not sure if red is legal, or if it has to be amber or white?

 

Pretty sure its illegal to run a colour other than amber or white

Here, blue or red lights on the front will get you a massive ticket.

I guess the Asian playboy in the BMW is playing with fire then...
I will make a call or two and find out if they're legal where I'm at. I'm sure someone sells alternate colors.

I can see if your DRLs are also your headlights it would be bad, but in our case, they're beside our headlights, like eyeliner.. Hmm.

 

Yeah, other than emergency vehicles, school buses are the only vehicles that can have red lights facing forward.(at least in IL)
