Red Dead Redemption 2

shit ill probably just be hunting and fishing for the first three days. maybe do one or two main story missions.

 

I'm going to spend so much time just letting my character get fat and hairy I won't have time to beat it.

 

I just pre ordered, but I can't figure out if my pre load started. There's nothing in the downloads area and when I go to the PS store page it says I purchased it, but doesn't give me an option to pre load. How do I know it's downloading?

 

Go to notifications and see if it started install it’s 92gb so it will take a bit.

 

I figured it out. I had to go to my library, select it and then hit download. I'm not sure why it was that hard to figure out or why it didn't start automatically.

 

Angry this doesnt have a PC release date. (presumably about a year down the road, like usual for Rockstar)

 

Time to buy the PS4 pro bundle

 

Can't wait for this to get here. I'm fighting with myself because we're going camping this weekend when all I want to do is stay home and play RDR2 the whole time... Haha

I just did some math RDR2's story mode is about 5x longer than RDR. Definitely won't be beating it over the weekend.

 

Looks like Mexico won't be in the game. I wonder if they'll add it as part of DLC missions in a few months.

 

they never released rdr to pc so I don't think they care much for pc ports, unless you use an emulator

There's some guy in Latvia on the Red Dead reddit page that somehow got a copy of the game and he's been uploading gameplay today. Some are of missions, didn't really watch that stuff, but I skipped through to different parts.

A big part of me wants to watch the spoiler stuff but I want to enjoy the things I encounter in the game

 

There's some cool stuff, but nothing from left field. All stuff they've either released in press releases or gameplay stuff. The one mission I saw was clearly the first mission that was a tutorial so I was fine with watching it. Didn't want any of the other mission stuff. Kinda helps that you don't really understand the audio because its a little muffled and the subtitles are in Latvian.

 

Honestly forgot about the release of this game until yesterday when I saw a ad for it. Internal hype went from 0-100 real quick. Perfect timing too. Wife leaves the island mid afternoon on Thursday, so when it drops at 6pm I'll have had time to get fully prepared to veg. She won't be back for a couple weeks to, so plenty of time to play and not get yelled at . Just gotta get home tonight and start that pre-dl.

 

Just got my notice that my pre-order has shipped , should be playing it Friday ss long as Canada Post's rotating strikes don't hit our post office again
