Red Dead Redemption 2

After months of nothing Rockstar added a new role of Naturalist.

It is kind of boring but after a month of giving up on the game at least it gives you something to do.

I'm back in now giving it a try.

 

I gave up on it as soon as Story Mode ended.

 

the new role isnt bad, its just not really good either, kinda grindy

 

Once you get to level 5 it picks up. You can do missions to get legendary animals.

Before that dont kill, just tranquilize every animal in sight and turn in the samples. That will get you the pretty quick.

 

I did the legendary moose mission last night. It puts you in the middle of a heavy snow storm and auto aim is disabled. It makes it an interesting hunt.

 

I took a month off but started playing again after the last update. I was just bored with doing the same stuff.

I dropped the XBOX ONE X and only play on PC. It is much better.

In the last week or so they made a change where there are only 2-6 players in a session - it's a dream come true.

There are animals galore, side missions pop up all the time like in the very beginning, even ones I have never seen before.

In just a couple hours you can crank up the gold and cash. I easily get the max 9 character each day for the extra 1.5 gold.

It's also fun again. There are a lot of future things coming like ghost animals, Taking a drug to become an animal and it looks

like a version of undead is in the near future.

Wish they'd come out with a new Red Dead. Anybody heard of anything supposed to be released?

What he said. GTA5 online has been going for 9 years and I don't expect anything different from RDR2.

I still play RDR2 online every evening. I like to get 9 of the daily roles done and earn some gold. I do a few other dailies if I feel like it.

I could never get into rockstar’s online platform. I played the hell out of story mode though. May pick it up again and give online a try.

 

It's not that much different than story mode. When I played on XBOX I joined a posy that would get together every Sunday night. Now on PC I have done the whole thing solo. I kinda like it better that way.

 

Ahhhh yes PC gaming is next level. I grew up PC gaming with several builds. Only have a PS4 now. Posse’s make it interesting. A couple local friends and I made one but didn’t play it too much. Would love to get a serious gaming computer again. Lots of Battlefied, CoD, and WoW in my upbringing days. It’d be interesting to see my logged playing time...or scary.

 

RD1 online was more fun with friends. RD2 online is to complicated for me. It has more to do but it seems so congested. I miss simplicity so I hope there’s story dlc but I highly doubt it

 

I just started replaying the story after two years lol

 

I may have to do the same. PS4 has been in storage for over 18 months while we remodel and it’s almost done including a surround sound setup. Replaying the game with that is probably worth it.
