Red LED hood scoop mod

Where did u get the hold scoop light? Did it come in any other colors?

 

around here its red or amber facing rear, or white and amber facing forward basically anything else is illegal. But you can have as many lights as you want as long as they follow the above criteria. Many cowboy trucks around here lit up like Christmas trees and I've had my fair share of lights on past vehicles.

I have seen these in a few different colors. Do some searching on the internet for what you want. I think the Plasmaglow site has animation that shows the scan patterns

I bought a different set of two 12" (30 cm) Amber LED bars that had a controller with a wireless remote but I really hated the scan patterns and I wanted to fill the scoop up a little more. So, I hacked up one of the bars and added some of the LEDs to the other bar, rewired everything since the wiring was also crappy. I happened to have a PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) with 10 solid state outputs. Since this I program this type of controller I can make the 10 (30 LEDs total - 3 per bank)banks of LEDs do pretty much whatever I want them to do. It is definitely one of a kind.
