I have a couple 6 inch led strips from them that I have used for this application before. They aren't bad.

Actually, the LED strips made by Alpena that Autozone sells are some of the best and brightest I have seen. I have a few LEDs in use on my truck.

Tricked out dents on the outside and custom love stains on the inside. To many citiations to count, but one hell of a sweet ride.

I couldn't find a single red LED dome light that was bright enough for me so I just cut some 12" strips into smaller sections and mounted four 4" sections inside the dome light. I also have 2 really bright red LED 194 bulbs for the map lights.

Ya, the dome light has slowly been dimming now for the last few months. I've had it in over 5 years and its now starting to go out. They make a newer superflux led dome board that's supposed to be brighter. Might try that one next. I only run the red in the dome light and bright white for the maps. Plus I'm red/green colorblind so I feel its easier on my eyes. Being colorblind also gave me an astigmatism to light. Hence why I like working nights. lol

I soldered the leads of all the strips to the ends of a burnt out bulb and then installed it just as it would normally be. You can also get the festoon bulb adapters which do the same thing.
