For those of you who missed this or think this area is worth more exploring, I plan on hosting another trail run in the next 6 months or so. The new run would travel the extent of BLM Road EP 15 from Highway 14 all the way to Highway 395, then a short hop into the historic mining town of Randsburg to have lunch at the historic soda fountain.

I think the next run will probably be more on the hot side. I can't host the runs on the weekend during the busy seasons (pleasant weather) because I'm working. So middle of winter or middle of summer is when I can do the weekenders. Even the EP 15 run I want to do shouldn't require 4X4 unless you're a total n00b to dirt.

Thanks Matt for the nice run and for all of the background history of the park. It was an enjoyable afternoon with some great scenery and company!

My wife and 3yr old enjoyed it as well. More pictures to come from my wifes phone.

Love going there, we take about 20 scouts to Burro Schmit every year we camp at Ricardo and explore the area, been along 15 a lot. Got a head wound from not ducking in the mine. The ranger at Ricardo was getting a Taco-i think he is on toyotaNation. We have some new areas we are going to explore this spring I my buddy and I are going to check out some trails and I will let you know

That ranger is me. I've had a Taco since 2006, just upgraded to a newer, more capable one this year.
