so i wanted to do a few updates first on my last tank of gas I got 19.5 mpg just wanted to say that and the miles broke down on the last tank like this:

30 miles towing it was only maybe a 1000 lbs trailer
150 miles around town with 1000 lbs of gear in it (on way to hunting club)
the rest of them on the interstate

remember this is with the 33 inch tires 2.5 inch lift and 600lbs of: body armor, sub, box front and rear winch, and toolbox full of tools.

key to this was driving really slow
and my truck gets 2 more mpg with premium gas. idk if its just mine or not.

Do you use your Roof Rack rails? It may just be my opinion but I think they make the tacomas ugly. However your truck looks nice minus the roof rack rails.

I like the way they look i have used them only twice since i got them i really like them i think the tacomas look bald without them. the only reason i got them was for looks, using them twice was just a bonus.

Totally sick bumper man, thats amazing. And I'm not even a huge chrome hater like so many on TW, but with that rad bumper your front is screaming for a colormatched or blacked grille surround! Love the roof rails also. Bravo!

My my my... *HAT IN HAND* I've burnt some steel over the years, but the work that went into this is hard to fathom!

Phew, such an undertaking and the finished product is a sight to behold. The fact that you created it makes it that much more satisfying, I'm certain!

Rep to you sir, for both the outstanding play by play & your mad fab skillz!

I woulda guessed with the extra traction illustrated in post 156 you would pulled right outta that ditch. Dang man, that bumper looks even better vertical.

I have been feeling that my tailgate was weak recently, by that i mean weaker than normal. after taking the cover off this is what i found:

Notice that the tabs that connect the the inner and outer skin are not connected, i did not disconnect them, my truck bed has had a very hard life. im sure at some point they had had enough and decided to break free.
