    Finally, the wait is over.I've got my car yesterday evening. I would like to share my impressions with anyone that is interested in a TRD PRO. The comparison is between a Baja 2014 and TRD PRO 2017. I'm also planning to add a bed liner with better grip, bed cover, bed extender, wind deflectors and a new pair of tires. I will post some photos as soon as I'm done with the upgrades.

    What I like:
    * It's a MT.
    * The interior is better than the 2011-2015 Baja Series.
    * Overall it's a great truck.
    * The interior it's quieter and the ride quality is better.

    What I don't like and I'm looking forward to fix:
    * Compared to my 2014 TRD this truck sounds like a Prius. This is the biggest complain that I have and it's really getting on my nerve. I didn't plan to spend $500 + on a new exhaust, however I really miss the growl from my 2014. I can get more growl at lower RPMs from my lawnmower than from my TRD PRO.
    * I really don't like the looks of the tires and I don't trust them off-road in muddy conditions. I will switch my tires for something better. This truck is going to see some action at my properties so I don't want to get embarrassed calling AAA to get a TRD PRO unstuck.
    * I really wanted the Premium Sound with JBL however this wasn't an option for the TRD PRO. Really Toyota?
    * I'm 6.2 and I would like to have the option to lower the chair for a bit but I can't. For some reason it feels like I'm seating too high. I don't have this problem on the 2014.

    Great choice.
    Don't fret, JBL kit is proven to be low quality and made of cheap paper.
    Yes, the engine sounds like it's from a minivan. Because it is. Add intake for less money.
    Tires are not appropriate on that, you are right. I'd sell your wheels & tires while new ($$$$) and buy something from www.FNwheels.com - while everyone is diggin those new new wheels and they're hard to find.

    I already sold the tires and the spare for $700. Thank you very much for the link. The FN wheels looks awesome on Tacoma.

    A company called OEM Audio + makes a sweet stereo upgrade that will blow the JBL away. I'm looking at buying one.

    LOVE the truck, congrats.

    BTW it already comes with the TRD exhaust. The URD y-pipe is coming out later this year, and should make it a little louder.

    Congrats OP. and don't worry you'll get to love the lawn mower motor with MT eventually...but she takes a few thousand clicks to really understand.
    Enjoy

    He he he! I like it red! It was my first choice. When I'm done with the upgrades it will look much better on red than white. Also, I don't want a weekly subscription to the local carwash.

    yeah, the only complaint i have is that i can't lower the seat, or tilt the seat bottom. correcting that would probably be expensive, but eventually necessary and worth it. mine is white, but i really do love the red.

    I like the quiet sound of the truck my self. If you want some sound put your foot in the accelerator then it will liven up.

    The JBL audio is over rated. It's easier to upgrade the premium system than the JBL. The tires did just fine off-road and in light mud. I still replaced them though. I'm good with the exhaust. IMO it sounds just fine but I don't care for a loud exhaust. It has a enough growl for me.

    I've checked out the OEM Audio +system. I almost fainted when I saw the installation steps. The installation steps are explained properly but I really don't feel like taken the truck apart when I have less than 100 miles on it.

    So far I have done the following to the car:
    * Replaced the factory tires with BFGoodrich KO2 TA on factory wheels.
    * Installed Bed Rug bed liner.
    * Installed BAK BAKFlip F1 Tonneau Cover.
    * Installed AMP Research Bed Extender.
    * Westin HDX Drop Steps
    * Lumar CTX ceramic tint.

    Also, since this was the only car without radar detector and I totally forgot about it, I've got a Christmas gift from a cop for doing 60 on 40. The issues has been addressed quickly with an Escort 360.

    I will post a couple of pictures next week as soon as I'm done with the wind deflectors.

    I've had my TRDOR for a few days and the seat height thing was a bit of a concern. I'm only 5'11" tho.

    I can't imagine that at 6'2" the seating position is optimal. It's a bit cramped.
