Red for the win. Another thing for the TRD guys to spend money downgrading . The red ones really do look better at night.

man…the red needles look like the “type r” trim levels of these trucks hahaha

I wonder if they’re completely interchangeable clusters??

It’s not poverty trim. All the ‘upper trims’ are just what they sell to the marks.

Ha! Ohhh…just TW running joke that the SR is the low class slumming it trim, while it comes with a ton of features, more than I’ll ever use. As a bonus we get the nicer gauges. The red on blue reminds me of the old VW GTI.

Yeah much sportier looking, wonder why they didn’t put it in all the trims?

I am sure someone on here has done a swap, might take some digging to find it.

I’ve swapped clusters in almost all the vehicles I’ve own lol…even re-wired some of them to work. The odometer is almost always a problem haha….. not saying I’m not interested but if anyone can chime in!

Those red needles look awesome. I wonder if they’re easy to swap off of a junkyard cluster once you take the lens off.

Never swapped out gauges but have changed color of bulbs. Never did like the green they used to do, not crazy about amber. The blue is probably my favorite.

Frontiers came with amber for 17 years. I honestly loved it. Some guys didn’t, they’d resolder them all to blue. I just find blue hard to look at at night. I do turn the brigntness all the way down which helps, and I did that in the frontier even though I didn’t really need to.

Yeah we are all different, find the blue easiest to look at, have it cranked to the brightest. Never changed the color in my 1st Gen, it is green, don’t drive it very often anymore, but when I do, think how terrible it is to look at it. Ha!

Maybe I can soften up the blue with some nice red needles off a junkyard cluster :D

swapping needles you’ll never get the correct calibration of the speed. once you pull out the oem needles it’s next to impossible to put it back unfortunately
