Snowed 3'' yesterday.

Its cold now. Spent 3 days standing in the wind doing production audio...was fun but not that fun haha now its just cold.

 

I rarely break anything. You telling me I don't wheel hard enough?

 

I'm good for something once a year. 2 years ago it was a front axle that wrecked a hub and front locker...$2k later I've got spare RCV's and hubs now. Last year was a cut down tire....$3k later, I've got new tires and 17" aluminum beadlocks.

I do my best to channel the inner Bob Ross in me and say that breaks are just happy little accidents...
My bank account feels differently.

I am normally the one that breaks. This time I broke and didn't realize it till we got back to camp. Then Carter came in clutch with jb weld

 

I pushed mine out with a bottle jack inside. I already had the bed off so it wasn't too bad. Just make sure you can still access the release valve for the bottle jack. I also recommend having an empty tank of gas.

I'd like to try and raise my tank up an inch. I've dented my frame where the tank is the lowest. Not sure how well a skid would hold up to my abuse.

 

And the handy dandy gear oil pump.

 

You're just comparing the rest of the world to you. You break something every time your truck moves from the driveway. Haha Wheeling hard is subjective. Saying you gotta break something to be wheeling hard seems very simple minded and personal opinion bias. Most of the time, I would argue just drive better. Some of the time, you needed to do a quick maintenance check before hand. Some of the time, you just do ill advised shit. Some of the time, shit just breaks cause nothing lasts forever. Etc .... don't lump your "bad luck" in with the rest of us.

Actually Im not comparing anyone, I said if nothing breaks your not wheeling hard enough, did not say that you don't wheel hard. If you wheel hard enough something will break.
I don't break every time but I do break, as you stated so do you. Wheeling hard is subjective no doubt. Never said you have to break something to be wheeling hard, said If you are wheeling with a group and nothing breaks you are not wheeling hard enough trails. Because if you wheel hard enough even you will break something. Some times people see what they want to see in a statement, it happens.

 

I'd like to raise my tank too, but at the same time I feel it's the best DS protector so I don't mind it's location. I just need something stronger to put up with the abuse. The stock skid couldn't do it so I am likely pulling the trigger on the low range one and be done with it. I'm honestly surprised it's held up as long as it has. Solid 4 years of hard wheeling and I only REALLY dented it last year.

 

I wheel soft. So soft. And fluffy.

 

The front mount point on mine is bent. Not sure if the rigidity of a skid would have helped prevent that or make it worse.

Well when you try to drive over a straight faced wall with a drop off on the other side, your gonna hit something in the middle. Wheel soft like Dave and you could've prevented that.
