I love to hate it and hate to love it. Sucks when you do it on top of a full time career. The money is too good to turn down though, especially since my hobbies are so expensive. Haha.

I never hated it. But then again, it was usually my main summer job save for a few summers. Is really good money easy money.

I recommended the NDs to Tim and I'll do the same to you. Why buy a "street tire" for an "off-road" truck. The NDs are in the middle of street mud terrain and a bias ply swamper. Tim will be at LBL in March ...

Don’t buy Interco’s if you want round tires. So many better options out there

I can do 75 all day in my truck....long as the hill isn’t too big :luvya:

Actually I didn’t want to burn up 37’s just rolling down the road, have my hearing when I arrive, be able to get home if I break, etc.

I would trade some off-road ability for on road ability. Swampers suck ass on the road, I thought I could suck up it, but holy shit I hated those tires. Much happier with my Toyos that are 100% better on the street and 1% worse off-road in certain conditions. There are so many options now for tires that can do both, ignore interco IMO.

I still say keep your tires and put money twords mods that will be more beneficial off-road rather than .5" more ground clearance. Example color changing light bars, roof racks, snorkles and novelty gear shifters.

I've been very happy with my Hankook MTs. Thousands of off-road miles and zero issues.

I have heard good things about the STT Pros though.

I'd be curious to try the new Yokohama MT for my next set.

I think the Hankook is probably a VERY under-rated option. (Probably because the tread pattern isn’t “pretty”) Every review I read is outstanding. Actually read an article somewhere that ranks it as the best all around Off-road tire out of the 10 or so they tested.

However, I don’t know anyone in my geographical region that has used them. The pattern looks pretty tight. I’m afraid they’d gum up real quick in the nasty sloppy hell that is off-roading in the south. All the reviews I can find are people wheeling in the desert on giant dry rocks. Still intrigued by them though. Also, they are cheap!

I actually saw that Yokohama for the first time last night. Looks interesting. You should be the guinea pig. :p

They definitely don't have as open a tread pattern as some MTs. I try to avoid nasty, sloppy hell, so can't help you much there.

And I only put 7,000 miles on my rig last year, so I've got a few more wheeling seasons before my Hankooks need replacement.

I thought we had this conversation before. I ran them on an XJ I had and they did wonderful around here. Wheeled at WITC, LBL, and a few places in AL with them. They actually clear mud really well and get great traction. I'd run them again.

I never ran the Trxus, but had friends who did. Also a good tire, TONS of weight to balance though.

I'd run Intercos tires without hesitation. On an almost dedicated trail rig, in TN, you want the crappiest on road tires you can tolerate. I may only run bias ply tires for the remainder of time for 2 reasons: weight (I need all the power I can get) and being able to air them down to 5 psi and you damn near can't tell until you squish them on a rock (basically I keep all my ground clearance). It's not for everyone but then again I off-road a 4 cyl 5 speed and who tha fuck would do that.

I get movement down below when I see their X3 though
