2016 Tacoma (SOLD) leased RTL-E Ridgeline
AVS Bug Deflector. TruXedo Lo Pro
I should have skipped the RAnger and got the RL. I have the RTL-E.

Kinda hard to go back to body on frame trucks because:
    Huge bed trunk
Floor to ceiling space behind the front seats
    Power rear window
Side and flat opening tailgate (Very handy for reaching into the front of the bed)
    Excellent ride
    Memory power seats and mirrors
tilt down passenger side mirror in reverse
    Much better tech/Sound system
    Reverse guidelines bend with steering.
3 selective views for the reverse camera (including hitch view)
Push-button shifting saved space for HUGE center console storage
Turn off button auto-shift into park
    Bed Speaker system (pretty good)
Great resale (Cavana offered $39272/Pay off is $36800 (Initially agreed to $40200 Cap cost)

I felt I was getting more for the money $417/month lease no down. I lease even though I intend to buy in case I get rear-ended or in a fender bender. I can just turn it in.

    I've taken the mudflaps off?
Please tell me you don't actually think the Ridgeline Baja race truck shares even one part with a factory built ridgeline?? You know it's a purpose built, tube chassis, long travel race truck right?

My 2 cents worth. As a semi-suburban dad, when I wanted to buy a pickup in 2007, I looked at the RL, Tacoma, and Frontier. The Frontier fell off the list quickly. The Tacoma went soon after, as the passenger compartment did not come close. I've had the Ridgeline now for 14 years, and am about to turn over 300k miles. 1st gen, obviously.

A year and a half ago, found a '16 OR that my wife just had to have. She never warmed up to the Ridgeline. So we have both in our driveway. I still prefer the RL. The Tacoma is claustrophobic in comparison.

Much like the Toyota Camry running in NASCAR is not the same as the Camry at the dealership.

How did people raise a family back in the olden days when passenger vehicles did not come equipped with a cup holder?

I bought my grandpa's 2012 Ridgeline when he passed last year and it has since become my DD. Drives smoother than my 2018 OR, is much quieter than my taco, and is actually able to fit a rear-facing car seat.

I wont be selling the Taco anytime soon.

Both are great vehicles; pick the one that suits you best and forget what anyone else here says. You're on a Tacoma forum so there's 100% chance opinions will be skewed.
