Finally installed the URD Spec-U system on my TRD Pro. There was a revision made to it as shown in the video below.

    https://youtu.be/A0LhPalnAgM

I changed the magnaflow on the spec-U system with a black widow 10” widowmaker muffler. Here’s the first start up video with revs to redline. Didn’t get to drive it around yet. Will have vids later.

Mud flaps came in during the week and was able install them today. Simple to do, just need a short socket with the minimal room.

looking good man. so its your video i pulled up on yt. that black widow sounds sick, so much so that i was thinking of dropping my 2020 pro exhaust and putting on a black widow. its not spec-u like your but i already have the urd mk2 ypipe. my guess is the sound is gonna sound different, but still good. i wanted to try something other than super 44s like my last two tacos. so cliche already lol.

Thanks bro! Yea I’m not a fan of flow master. I’ve had magnaflow too and dint really like glass packed mufflers because they always droned no matter what I did. I would of used my corsa muffler but the footprint for it was too big to where I didn’t want to hack up the beautiful stainless from the spec U system so I went with the smaller black widow muffler. One of my top 2 mufflers by far! You won’t regret it

solid solid. what model did you go with. im wondering if i should hack up my 2020 pro exhaust cause i honestly dont have an issue with the piping or just spring for the rest of the urd exhaust and just swap out the exhaust that way. going that route will give me 3" diameter right across the board instead of stepping down from the ypipe. whats urds muffler make anyhow? is it in-house or they using someone elses muffler like magnaflow or something?

I went with the widow maker. Urd uses magnaflow. I’m not sure why they don’t disclose it.

Truck bogged out on Saturday. Pulled P0087 Fuel Rail/System Pressure - Too Low

Looks like fuel pump issue. Gonna call service manager soon as I can. Sucks cause technically there’s no solution from dealer yet.

Got my truck back. It went in Wednesday and got it back today which is Saturday so 3-4 day turnaround. This was them saying part had to be shipped in. They replaced the fuel pump for me. I have a tune on it and went in and out undetected. Here’s the work done. If you have a problem with your truck with the same symptoms, call the service department when you can. Only problem is that because there isn’t a solution yet, there isn’t a recall part for it. So there’s a chance the pump can fail again and will still have to return it for the proper recall part. When a solution is out, a new part number will be generated for it so recall is squared away. Hope this helps!

Finally working on a little boost mod. Small ste but a crucial one. Cravenspeed steering wheel gauge mount had to be ground so the bezel on my gauges could fit. Will try to get these hooked up before my TT kit comes in.

Received some stuff from PTP to help keep engine temps in check. These are some quality turbo blankets! Not your cheap eBay junk that just uses packed fiberglass. Photos will speak for themselves. They’re a lot more impressive in person.

Took advantage of BF sales and got a Prinsu roof rack with Cali raised LED bar. Decided to support a local shop rather than order them online and what he offered Was too hard to pass up. MJMotorsports hooked it up! If you’re on Oahu, check them out! Nothing but positive vibes!

@RedLantern that exhaust sound is the best Ive heard on a 3rd gen. If you wouldn't mind sharing the exact pieces for this setup it would be much appreciated!

would probably need to finagle a few things from yours exactly as I have the AC, but anymore info would be awesome!

also from the widow maker back, is that still the URD system?

Thank you! I appreciate that. Definitely sounds different from the original spec u system.

If yours is a v6 you could make it sound pretty close. I have urd spec U system. Everything is used in the spec u except the muffler. I added the black widow muffler and just cut the difference in length from the magnaflow using 3” stainless exhaust tubing and clamped them in.

Not a big update but finally had time to install some sequential signals from Tacoma Lifestyle. Went with amber since they pop more on the VDB. Also everyone runs the blacked out versions so wanted to be different. They’re brighter than what I expected.
