Hey guys, first off just wanna give forewarning that this will be a slow build and will be going the pace of what my wallet can handle hence being called a "Brokanic" build :turtleride: . Think of it as a slow cooker marinating n brewing up some something good.

Build will include the following in this order(hopefully)
-Custom Front mount turbo kit with a goal of 400hp as a Daily driver....:burnrubber:
-Cosmetic stuff for my truck will most likely be later down the road

I've been hanging around the forum readin up on some great builds,(torspd, toon, etc) and just been loving them. I've been workin up the courage to finally go this route for my taco and what pushed me to do it was after helping my brother build his front mount kit for his truck and took a ride in it. Hence the boost addiction began. So I will be asking for assistance from the community and I hope I can share info that's valuable in return.

So without further a due..... Here's some goodies that I got so far

So I purchased these items from VS racing over on Theturboforum and got really deal. It's called the Denmah special, which has been tested and approved by him. (*Denmah is pretty famous for his builds over on ls1tech, turboforum, and sloppymechanics. )

    Here's what's included....

    1 GT 45 Turbo
1 GT 45 discharge and clamp
    1 3" intercooler 31*12*3
    1 60mm WG

1 2.5" ic piping kit with couplers black
oil drain and feed braided setup
    t4 divided flange

So I took apart the turbo today check for anything in it internally and it's a good thing I did. Also checked for any shaft play and there wasn't any so it was good to go!

Hahaha. True that. Seems they work best with air alone.

In the mind of the OP,"Screw accessories, I need BOOST!!!!!" :D

Can't wait to see the progression.

Which tuning device are you planning on, and how much psi do you plan on running?

Haha. That definitely was in my mind! I've done accessories first with my previous vehicles and its fun and all.... but to me with all the money I dumped into looks, they coulda been boosted which is way more fun.

I plan on going AEM. Waiting on the results on xru and hopefully when they get the kinks out I can order it for my anniversary gift from the wife (hoping to get it by the end of the year). Gonna start the boost low to see how quick this turbo spools so maybe 4-5psi and have the tuner tweak the ems to my setup.

I just ordered my gauge pillar and should be coming in soon. Anyone have any experience with the AEM wideband fail safe gauge? Debating on picking that up since its a boost/af 2 in one.

Next big purchase are my headers/hot tubes setup when they're ready for sale from power fab. Getting anxious just looking at my parts building up :D

Hell yeah. I like your plan. Starting small is a good start when it comes to boost.
