It seems that Redline is making two gear oil products now, help me pick one! The manual transmission specific version claims to be less slippery and low sulfur for brass synchros. It's also $2.50 more per quart. Anyone used the manual specific stuff?

While I'm posting, I can't seem to find the drain/fill plugs on my 01 taco.

One of the red line oils is a gl-5 and one is gl-4. If your talking about the mtl it's good for the trans proper. The t-case and axles use the gl-4.

Drain and fill plugs are the large low profile headed bolts. One on bottom and thenfill should be halfway up on the drivers side of the tranny.

Redline MT-90 is the one you want.

I am using Red Line MT-90 in my 2000 RAV-4.
I originally put in some AMSOIL and was having huge issues because it was too slick. After 1 month of that bullshit I replaced it with the Red Line.
I would recommend getting something designed for Brass Synchros.
