Actually just installed a set on my taco last week.

Install was easy, learned how rivet guns work. Took maybe 20 minutes. Quality is solid from the tube constructions all the way to the rivets.

Measure twice, use a center punch before you drill the holes so your bit doesn't wander, took about half an hour when I did mine, super easy. Weirdly satisfying when the hood just keeps lifting on it's own.

Super easy to install. The snap connectors on the strut ends are kinda shit quality. If you dont pop them on right the first time they brake super easy. Overall though they are awesome and convenient.

Does anyone know of the life expectancy of these gas springs? I live in a highly salty area (the beach) so things tend to rust out significantly faster. If I can get 5-6 years out of a product like this, I would say it is worth it, but if I am to only expect to get 3-4 years, the stock stick will get the job done.

Can someone tell me what pound struts the Redline hood struts are. It should be on the label somewhere. I have a bunch of generic struts laying around and if I have two that match the weight of the Redlines I think I might try to make it happen.

I've had mine 10 years. They haven't lost any charge as the hood isn't crooked when it's up.
The only issue I have is the mounting screws on the body mounted bracket; they loosen up. I don't care though as I check them every time I change my oil.
Overall, it's a quality product IMHO.
