Yeah, for rear diff, just use whatever's cheap, available and meets the specifications of the vehicle. If it's limited slip (TRD Sport), you'll need the limited slip additive.
Now, when we talk about manual transmissions, THEN you will want to consider some specific flavors.
    Rear diff isn't so picky.

    But opinions will vary.

Oh, if it's open then disregard the additive comment. I assumed like the newer Sports, it had the limited slip rear diff.

Many of the differential fluids available meet the OEM standards. That's the most important thing.
Some have a brand that they swear by. Others just buy what's on sale that meets the requirements.
Ultimately it's a personal choice. I just buy a known product that meets the vehicles OEM requirements in the owners manual..

Ams 75/140 is what I use in both diffs and transfercase. I added a lsd really makes the drivetrain quiet.

Only the 2005 - 2007 TRD Sports came with an actual limited slip diff, the Sports after 07 come with the brake controlled pseudo-lsd

Both Amsoil and Redline are great oils. I use Redline in many other things, so I put it in the rear as well. One nice thing about Redline is that you can get it in 75-110 weight. That's perfect for trucks that get used hard, without going all the way to 75-140. For trucks in ordinary commuter operation, either oil in 75-90 is fine.

only 05-08 trd sports and some SR5's were optioned with the mechanical clutch pack LSD that would require LSD additives.

I just run mobil 1 75w-90 full syn with LSD additive in my TRD OR's open diff with locker.... LSD additive aint gonna cause any problems in a non clutch pack LSD and price is cheap.
