What's the advantage of the max lift? I just ordered the quicklift elite.

It lifts the hood a few extra inches. More room to work around under there.

I have them installed and love them. Only thing, when installing them, the rivet pins wouldn't snap off. Maybe I have a cheap rivet gun... I dunno. I ended up cutting the pins off with a dremel. But I'm happy and they work great. Just took me way longer to get them installed then I had planned.

Does this require that I drill holes? I’m always hesitant to put in new points of rust…

Yes, you drill holes and rivet the brackets in.

Yes, Our system requires to drill holes to securely fasten our mounting hardware. We recommend using touch up paint to coat any exposed metal to prevent any corrosion issues.

Will these clear a Slee mount with ARB Twin compressor mounted?

Same, Funny it was only the rivets in the fender that wouldn't bust off. All 4 in the hood went well for me. Could be my gun wore out as well. I did the same thing and just cranked on it till my hands hurt and then cut them off with the dremel.

I had a harbor freight rivet gun. I highly recommend nobody buy theirs, which is usually the case for me. This time, I figured I'd go cheap for a tool I'll likely never use again. Bad idea. Kept snapping the pins, leaving very little sticking out. Went and bought another and worked like a charm. Had to actually remove the nose piece of the new rivet gun to reach the nubs left over of the pins.

I've been debating about these, but I don't think I open my hood enough to justify it.

Installed Max lift this afternoon, put paint into the holes and let that dry before doing the rivet portion of the install...
