Curious. I read that the ez down tailgate messed up the cable. I saw the video and noticed the shrink wrap. Does this stop the cable kink ? The cable kink and fray was why I didn't put it on the order in the first place. Thanks.

just installed my hood struts with help from a friend, it was much easier than i anticipated. one of the issues we ran into was the silicone on the inside of the engine bay... where the mounts were going to go, we had to trim it down so the bracket would fit tighter to the area. otherwise, a simple install, with awesome results, final install pics coming soon

I just bought the truck on the 8th of April, only has a K&N filter as of right now.
Delivered yesterday, installed today. Had the same issue with the silicone inside the engine compartment, but nothing a razor blade couldn't fix.... Only took about a half hour, nice easy install.. Very satisfied with the results...

I will if noone has posted by morning, no flash on my phone... It's really not a big issue to deal with. If you look close at the far bottom mount in my pic you can see the silicone line that comes down below the right side of the bracket. Thst line comes up under where the bracket sits. if you just trim it flush with a razor before you mark your drill holes you can't even see it once the bracket is on.

MOT, you're on the GB website which is why it's $67. The regular website would say $84.95 (Quicklift PLUS).
