    When I had my 2012 4.0 I just simply attached 3/8" vacuum hose to the filter drain, routed down along the radiator shroud and zip tied it permanently in place.
    You just lay your drain pan under it and flush it out with a little spray brake clean after filter replacement. It works great and effortlessly. I can't believe more people don't do this. I even did it to my tacoma customer's engines with it.
