    Never heard of them, actually.

I don't claim to be all knowing, but I do find it funny they they are marketing this 12,000 pound winch as a "toyota tacoma" winch. (hint: you don't even "need" a 10k# winch for a tacoma).

I cruised around that website for a bit, and I stopped when it asked me what color my truck was when looking for winches. :der:

Winches are NOT make/model/year (or esp. color!) specific. They are all universal fit (assuming you have a winch bumper or a hitch plate to mount it to), and the size you need is based on weight. Minimum is 1.5x the max gross weight of your truck - which for ALL tacomas is 5-6k pounds. Most Tacoma drivers can use a 8k winch without problem. More is better, but IMO a 12k winch is overkill. 9.5-10k seems pretty good for a little extra safety factor.

Of course, the link you provided indicates they no longer carry that winch anyway, so it doesn't have a price...

If you're on a budget, get a smittybilt with a steel cable. If you want something "exotic" get a comeup. If you want a tried true and tested brand, get a Warn.
