    ADD W1 catch can:

    AFE intake:
    image.jpg

I was just getting to the point where I wasn't roaring off from every stop light... Now with the intake I'm back in the throttle just to hear that addicting whine. I notice a decent bump in throttle response, my AFR's jumped up .4-.6 so now I bottom out right around 10 even, and it sounds wicked. Worth $400? Well I'll revisit that question after some miles. The catch can looks clean and was an easy enough install.

Easy install although I had a gripe with one hose clamp. I posted in the performance section with a more detailed review.

It will fit. AFE just hasn't updated their fitment guide. 2012-15 are all identical.

Holy shit I've been slacking on here! I'm going to update with pics here shortly.

    Suspension Upgrade:

I reused my front 5100s set to 0 with 887 springs and a 1/4" lean spacer on the driver's side. For the rear I used the wheeler's 3 lead aal and reused my stock length 5100s. I used 3 degree shims and a carrier bearing drop to avoid vibes. I decided on cam burg ball joint uca's and my alignment is spot on (2.5 caster). After about 10 miles I've decided that I do in fact have the front bearing vibration (goes away in 4x4). It's on the back burner for now but I'm hoping to do it before summer.

    Sliders:

I landed on Allpro for a set of their bolt on hd sliders. I installed them with a nasty hangover but managed to get them mounted in about 4 hours. I primed them with 3 coats of primer and top coated with 3-4 coats of dupliclor bed armor. I was disappointed at first as handling them peeled the liner right off but after reading the cans it doesn't set up fully for 7 days! The finish is nice and is rock hard now that it's dry. Easy to touch up so far.

    Skids:

After looking at options since I purchased my truck, I picked pelfreybilt for their ifs and mid skid both in aluminum. These things are gorgeous and I'm feeling confident about not smashing my underside bits. Total weight for the skids was 51 lbs and after removing the stock splash guard and supports (9 lbs) the truck only gained 42 lbs in the process. I left them unpainted and we'll see how they hold up to decide if I need to coat them. Oil changes will be a bitch so I did one before I mounted everything up.

Urd stage 2 clutch and torque u flywheel installed plus the tob fix. It's a dream to drive with the heavier flywheel and the 33's. Wish I would have done all of this when I did the supercharger. The surface where the tob rides was badly grooved and scratched at 30k miles. What a joke! The urd sleeve and new tob are super trick and really do address a factory flaw. The clutch only has 175 miles on it but it engages smooth and doesn't give the impression that it's not factory. I may have Gone stage 3 if I had known how nice this stage 2 drives.

hey man how level are you with 5100/887 and that 1.5 aal? im about to have my 3+1 leaf pack installed from toyota and want to lift after they do that. im thinking 5100 and either 885/887 and 5160 icon/wheelers progressive aal with LR Ucas.

also how do you like the maxxs with your sema wheels? im going for the same combo but 255/75/17. any noticeable power loss with 255/80?

sorry for all the questions i just love your rig man

After about 15k miles I'm still dead level. The ride was great with the crappy 6ply duratracs I had before but the maxxs firmed things up a bit (to be expected with heavy 10 ply tires). If I were doing it again I'd get a full leaf replacement for the rear and the correct length shocks to match. I find myself hauling things around more often and the aal is really just a bandaid for the crappy stock springs. My truck is supercharged and feels peppy regardless but i noticed a 2 point drop in mpg vs the duratracs. If you do alot of street driving I'd stick to the slightly shorter and lighter 255/75. Let me know if you have any other questions or need some pics. Thanks for the compliment!

    Armor update:

I ordered a pelfreybilt rear skid and gas tank skid. I also picked up a Doug thorley pipe bomb y pipe so that I could have the pelfreybilt with exhaust relocation ( slightly better clearance ). I'll just photo dump and if you have any questions feel free to ask.

I'll have to mod my tank straps before I can get the tank skid on but I'm hoping to do that in the net few weeks. Major plans right now are to prep for Moab In the spring of 2018. My wish list is a long one:

    Rear:

    Dakars
    B110's
    Ubolt flip
    Wheelers bumps
    Extended brake lines
    Swing out

    Front:

New driver side lca bushings and hardware DONE
    Wheelers bumps DONE
Cmc and pinch weld smash for clearance DONE
    Us offroad winch mount DONE
    Winch (XRC 9500) DONE

    4.10's with a rear trutrac
    Backseat storage platform
