    Fall Update:

Got a steal of a deal on a US Offroad Winch mount and a smittybilt XRC 9500 and then got a control panel from the 12 volt guy. Working on a new bed rack for my rtt and spare as well. Ordered a full set of 5 285/75/17 toyo mt's as well and will plan to get things ready on 11/4 (additional 1/4" spacer on each side, CMC, and some fender trimming).

    IMG_0446.jpg
The fit is pretty great and with the synthetic line I only gained about 85LBS on the truck.
    IMG_0448.jpg
I debated back and forth on where to put this or if to use it at all and found a great spot. The manual guys know this cup holder is worthless for a cup and normally mine is just full of coins and receipts so I drilled a small hole in the bottom to run wires, cut out a plastic flange and rtv'd it in place. Easily reversible if I decide it sucks.
    IMG_0441.jpg
New layout of the bed rack with move to 12" from bed rail to top of the bars, also with the compound angles I can still use my roll up bed cover. Should have some finished pics in the next few weeks. It will look very similar to the all pro stuff just mid height and waaaaay cheaper.

Got my tires mounted this weekend and I'm stoked about how they turned out.

    (5) Toyo Open County M/T 285/75/17 (mounted on the truck measure 34.1")

    A little pre-black Friday update:

Got a screaming deal on a low mileage (45k miles) 4.10 front diff. I also ordered some goodies from ECGS (bushing, both side seals and pass side outer bearing).

I did some flexing last night to see if the new rubber would rub and found that the lugs just barely catch the frame in the rear of the front wheel wells and that the rears tuck within about a 1/4" of the flares (completely stuffed, negative leaf arch, and on the bump stop). I can tell that to go to 35's would require ALOT more hammering and cutting to clear. I'm still stoked about my choice of Toyo M/T's though and the airsoft bbs are doing excellent with balancing duties.

    Small update:

After a recent local wheeling trip I realized I am rubbing front and rear so I got out the jig saw and let it sing. I took out 2.25" front and rear. With the stock front bumper this is pretty much the most you can take out and not end up cutting out structural support. It turned out way smoother than I thought using a fine metal blade. I just took my time and triple checked my marks. After I cut I cleaned the edges with a flap wheel and hit it with some spray paint. I'll be going back with fender trim and a better sealer of some kind in the near future. I ordered some knockoff bushwhackers (RDJ's) and will plan on trimming them and bolting them on with stainless hardware like the rest of the cool kids. I also ordered an airflow snorkel from ok4wd and will have to figure out how to make it work with my CAI. Here's some pics of the trip that lead me to the cutting and some of the finished product.

    Small update:

The ebay flares and airflow snorkel have arrived!!! I still need fender trim and stainless fasteners before I get too crazy but I'm hoping to install this week. Ill be trimming the flares obviously but now I'm wondering how much I should take off. these have a goofy built in mud flap that has got to go but do I go all the way to the seam where the flat part stops or do I leave as much as possible to add strength to the flare?

Snorkel install went without a hitch tonight. I still need to add the pillar brace but even without it the thing is sturdy Stan. I was able to plumb it into my cai pretty easily also. I'll probably go back with some rtv on the connections once I get the flares installed. I did take 1.5" out of the neck to drop the scoop down a hair. On the test drive the s/c seems louder so that's an added bonus:bikewheelie:.

I should have my hardware for the flares Thursday and will plan on getting them on Friday/Saturday . Then I'm moving onto my bed rack project and wiring that needs finished. We are going to Colorado for 3 months (wife is taking a travel nurse assignment and I'll be working remotely) starting May 1st and my plan is to be camping/wheeling nearly every weekend . This is putting pressure on me to get shit done in the next few months. I'm hoping to get my gears and arb rear installed by April which should be the last of the mods for a minute.

I'm not thrilled with how the rears turned out. All the bushwhacker style knockoff flares are a little different and with the flat part removed to match the front it just looks funny to me. If I get a wild hair I may eBay some other brand but for now it's got plenty of room.

    Bedrack Version 2.0:

    IMG_1317.jpg
Considering my lack of jig building experience I'd say these came out pretty good.
    IMG_1309.jpg
My target was 12" high as my last rack was only 9" and my wife and I both agreed that 3" would please us (that what she said) for bed access and tent height.
    IMG_1312.jpg
This is all made from 1/8" 1"x 2" channel that I cut on a chop saw and welded with my little miller autoset. I bought dimple dies (7/8", 1", and 1 1/4") to play with and so far I'm stoked with how it looks.
    IMG_1319.jpg
This is the rough layout. 4" from the back glass and about 6" from the tailgate end of the bed rail. The target will be 65-66" long for aesthetics. The main hoop legs will get 2 hole flanges that will bolt directly to my kb bed rails. I'll be drilling and adding 3/8" rivnuts along the length so removing the rack will be a bolt on affair. This will also allow me to use my soft bed cover to keep all of our gear clean and dry. I'll add braces from hoop to hoop close to the outside edge and I have a bunch or 7" led's I'll mount (two on each side between the hoops and two on the rear main hoop facing back and down. I also have some led strips that I plan to run the length of the bed rails with a switch mounted in the bed. All the other lights will be controlled from my iggy panel in the cab. Hopefully I'll get some more done this weekend but I'm also cleaning up my rzr so I can sell it in the next few weeks and that will fund more truck stuff.

did you get a new alignment after each spacer you put in? for example the 1/2 inch one and the 1/4 inch one? I'm looking to put some small ones on and not sure if ill need an alignment?

Only because I also replaced a lower control arm. And I was worried I'd tear up the new toyos. I've got a local guy that does it for $60 cash. Figured it's cheap insurance.

Hopefully the next few weekends will be as productive as this one!

Acc and S/c belt got changed and holy shit was that an epic pain in the ass.
Rotated my tires and swapped the matching spare into rotation.
Relocated my S/c coolant pump down from behind the grille.
Relocated my winch solenoid down so I have access to hook up the wired remote without popping the hood anymore.
Got my led bar remounted from where the winch mount is to behind the grille finally. I drilled 2 holes in the bumper/core support and it fits nearly perfectly behind my pro grille.
And the biggest accomplishment was yesterday when I got the bed rack 90% finished.

The dealer gave me the wrong spark plugs so thats still on the list but all in all a pretty productive weekend.
