I wanted to know how some of you reduced the amount of water getting into the bed. I have an Extang folding cover but I still get water in the corners from the gaps in the bed. What did you guys stuff in there?
    Thanks.

I used some grey electrical duct seal, and it seems to be working pretty well, I only put it in the front two corners near the cab.

My extang leaks from everywhere, always has. Replaced one complete panel and some hinge seals and it still leaks. Now I just look at the bed as semi secure storage.

I had an Extang on my Titan and it never leaked, which is why I went with them again. Guess a new cover is the answer.

It's the same cover the dealer had installed when I bought my 16. I think the biggest issue is the texture of the bedside rails, the rubber seal/gasket won't make a good seal (at least for me) and mine still leaks from where Extang sent me replacement seals for in between the panels. Not trying to knock their product, but if I wasn't carrying it over from my old truck I would have bought something different. Luckily I have tough boxes of different sizes and not worrying about stuff getting wet. Like I said above, I see the bed more as semi secure storage with the locking tailgate and cover closed.

I have extang 2.0 as well and I've been having some water all the time it rained. After some investigation I found that cover doesn't leak but water gets through in between bed liner and bed. Nothing I can do about it. Purchased bed mat and it helps a lot to keep stuff dry

Have the bed mat in the new truck, didn't even think about water until I was going away TDY to a school, thru a couple of bags in the bed, didn't realize that I set them on ice. 6 hours later, get to the hotel, grab my stuff and head to the laundry (thankfully it was free) to start drying uniforms and clothes for the next day. Drove my purchase of a TNF Base Camp Dufflebag.

I'm not understanding the terms you used....... do you mean between the tonneau gasket and the bed rail?

The front corners of the bed and the tailgate are the two places where the most water comes in. Try something like this at the front corners:

I mean between factory plastic bed liner and metal on the top of bed around perimeter where plastic overlaps metal bed

That’s not a bed liner. That is the bed, it’s made completely of composite, no steel under there.

    ...stuff
I pulled the plastic hole caps from under the cab to put on the OEM cast aluminum steps. I put three of them in the drain plugs in the bed, gonna see how it works. Not enough to block off all water, but seems like enough to keep it a little dryer and a little less dusty.

Maybe. It's hard to see where it's sipping through but I am getting some water in bed and it's definitely not through the cover seals. Simple bed mat works for me cause water runs down the wall and under the mat. And yes I sealed front holes ( cover came with seal foamies for that).

Before my cap, I had a cheapie Gator trifold and hardly ever got water in the bed. The tonneau came with some filler blocks that did the same thing as described in post #9 and they are pretty important.

I had the foam filler pieces on my 16, still had leaks. Talked to Extang and they sent me the seals for in between the panels (and a replacement cab panel because it was damaged from the installer) and it still leaked. Haven't put anything along those gaps in the front, and honestly I don't notice much water coming in through there, it's mainly from the top of the bed rails.

If you get some clear silicone and squeeze it up between the liner and the metal in the gap it might make it more water tight for you

C96A16C0-DA1F-47F1-97EF-7A03BE73551D.jpg I assume this texture change in the side of the bed is the reason why I am getting water in from the sides.

Went from 3rd Gen Taco to 3GT4R to 2nd Gen Taco and finally a V8 4GT4R.
Maybe try putting a thin layer of weather stripping down on the rails? IDK if the tonneau you are using has some already.

So, mine does this too — and its not the tonneau cover — the water is getting kicked up from the tires, and going up and around the (for some reason unsealed) bedside.
For me only on the left side because they removed the lefthand bedside cubby for 2019, which would have prevented most water from getting up there.
