Saw a rack on an older Tacoma today. It was a Reese TransRack. Maybe not the strongest, beefiest, custom powder coated monster that everyone says they want. But I'm looking for something to put up quickly on my 2016 Tacoma when I need to carry one ladder or a couple of long boards. Who knows, maybe when the house projects are done I'll carry a kayak (like that will ever happen). The main point is that I don't want to spend a fortune and I want to take it off when I'm not using it. Also looking at the Thule bed rack system, but for $300 shipped from Costco, it's very attractive. http://www.costco.com/.product.929394.html
