Sportsman basement has a program for refillable propane bottles. You need to become a member for $20 life time and buy their bottle which cost $16 each..

They pay for themselves in the long run. I’ve gotten 6x refilled.

    Those are great!
I have 2 that I've been using for awhile.
I probably have a couple dozen exchanges so far. They've all gone well except my last one.
It leaked. I opened my camper it smelled very strongly of propane. I put each bottle in water and found the leaker. I stopped the leak by leaving my stove regulator attached to the bottle.
Sometimes Sports Basement runs out of bottles. That leaky one took 3 trips. They offered to refund my money for the bottle but I was like it's cool...I come here by here enough and I like the idea of re-using bottles and they're free refills.

Ye I heard when camping season starts they tend to run out pretty fast. My skottle takes a lot of propane due to cooking and cleaning it.....

So, the propane refill is free, once you join a membership and buy the Flame King bottle?

Wow! That is a great deal!

I had to buy a 20lb propane cylinder, get it filled with propane, buy the Flame King Refill Kit to use with the 20lb cylinder, and buy additional Flame King 1lb Refillable Cylinders to get the same benefit that you get just for a membership and bottle purchase.

Sure wish REI had this program.

I have a little 5# propane bottle that costs $2.50 to fill but I never use it because of sports basement.
