Reformed Car Owner Reporting for Duty

Just traded in the commuter-friendly lifestyle (and a clunky Mazda 3 I'd been driving for ten years) for a brand new 2015 TRD Sport in black. No more driving required for my desk-jockey job, so the wife and I decided to have a little more family fun and ditch the car for a truck.

Picked it up at the dealer last night.

Still getting a feel for the difference in size and handling, but I'm getting a taste for the six-speed manual after cruising around town and out into the country a bit last night.

Been trolling the forums for a few weeks as we contemplated our final decision on make and build... and while anxiously waiting for delivery. Lots of great discussion.

Two weeks on! I'm loving the new truck.

Accomplishment checklist:

- first mud = first wash
- first full tank
- first stall (MT right of passage?)
- trip to the eco-station with a load of old junk from around the house
- camping trip with the family
- first blood (dog nicked her paw on a walk and bled all over the back seat!)
- tailgate beers with friends
- tailgate ice creams with family
