My frontier had an issue. I never took it in. Just had to pump slow or fuel would spit out of the filler tube and the pump would stop. Sounds like the same issue

Two instances of bad luck. Broken shut off at the pump and a broken pump the 2nd time. Nothing wrong with the truck.
