MBRP "Cool Duals" dual side swept exhaust, Volant Intake, Blacked Out Tail lights, Touchscreen Kenwood DDx616 with a 10" Kicker CVR in a custom Box, 2 Kicker Comp 6" Speakers, Removed front and rear mud flaps, Weathertech Floormats, Kobalt Slim Toolbox, Chevrolet Air compressor
I have a double-din Kenwood DDX616 Touch Screen, 10" Kicker Comp in a home-made box, and a Sony 702 Amp. I have a regular cab with the stock speakers still, and whadda ya know..i blew them! So what are some sound systems you guys have set up for the regular cabs? Looking to upgrade the door speakers, tweeters, possibly another sub (get a professional box for both) and maybe another 2 speakers for behind the seats. Pictures, suggestions, etc etc will help!

that looks great man! i was actually wondering the other day if the tweeters on the plastic bar would work. But im looking to purchase the Alpine SPS-600 C's (http://www.crutchfield.com/p_500SPS600C/Alpine-SPS-600C.html?tp=106) and 2 extra tweeters for the bar (Not sure yet).
Can anyone help me with what i need to buy/make? as it says i need to make a speaker enclosure for it..

I've got a regular cab almost identical to yours and I'm going with Image Dynamics CTX65cs components in the front doors and a Hybrid Audio Technologies 8" sub in a sealed box powered by a Kenwood 100x2 (RMS) amp. Gonna stick with the stock deck works fine for me!

Go to ebay, they have a lot of nice subwoofer enclosures that will work great in your truck, good prices too.

Theirs a local audio store here that im buying a wedge box from. Right now the sub is in a normal home-made plywood box covered in carpet. should getting a new box improve rattling/clipping and other noises?

However, i have an aftermarket deck, so would i need to get a bigger amp with more channels to do the rear components and tweeters?

I made a custom box for behind my seats and put in 2 Kenwood eXcellon shallow depth subs in there. Mounted the amp under the passenger seat (but now it's starting to go and it doesn't get the best air flow so might incorporate a fan into the box to blow under the seat for it)

Subs have a nice kick to them and give a nice massage.

im only 5ft 5 in tall so i dont need the seat back very far. itll take some room away but if you look at the pic the speaker boxes are contoured like the back of the seat so when seat is pushed back if needed it is the same angle as the speaker boxes. on a downside if you did need your seat all the way back the seat would probably take most of the speaker sound into it. one other note. i love how my stereo is now but since the rear tweeters are up by my head they are the dominant speaker. you can here the others but these really stand out. adjusting the fade does help.
