Regear options...

Anyone here have their differentials regeared? If so where was it done? I am in MA and looking for options.

 

When I regear I will do one of two things:
1. Pay MLO in Bow to do it.
2. Drive to NC to have ECGS do it.

I am sure there are other capable shops who can do it, but if I am driving half a day to get there, I can combine the ECGS trip into a work trip/vacation.

ECGS sells the complete 3rd members and you send your old one, most good shops can swap those out, don't have to worry about them installing the gears. Most people that do it themselves do it that way. I am planning on a regear and will do it that way myself but I just got the KD tune to hold me over for a bit.

 

If you’re handy just have east coast gear supply build them and swap them over yourself. It’s really not hard.

 

Off-road elements in Abington, MA has done a good amount on tacomas. I'll be getting my 5.29 regear done there in July. They are booked out at least a month or two though.

 

I just purchased the gears through them. They are booking into August. 8/2/21 is my date.
