    Alright, no 4.30.

    4.56 it is!

    …or maybe 4.88

On 35s? That might be the problem. If you're on 33s then the camper you're pulling must be super heavy. My camper is around 2k and it pulls good on 33s and 4.10s even up hills

Dang. I wonder how much my pizza cutters are helping here. I have 255/80/17 at 50lbs each so less rotational mass than the 285s. Also have a roof rack. But no skids

    V6?

I have the stock 3.73 with 285/75/16 with a bunch of extra weight in armor (skid trilogy, bolt on sliders with fill plates, rear hc bumper with a swingout, and a front bumper/winch, shell, rack, 2 spare tires, and about 100lbs of recovery gear). Trailer is 3,500lbs loaded and I live at 4,500ft elevation. Not winning many races off the line but no issues getting up to speed and it'll hold 65mph even going over 8,000ft passes. Before this trailer I had a 23ft 5,500lb trailer...the extra 2,000lbs was certainly noticeable.

I'm actually on 4.10s. It's just the way it worked out the other gears weren't available and I was in a pinch. Pretty happy with it so far.

Awesome looking camper what is that thing?

Here's my setup when I have the whole family along. When it's just two of us we sleep in the truck bed.

Towing? I have an auto and it's in 4th at 65 when towing but it'll drop down to 3rd going up grades. If they are real steep I shift to 2nd to maintain speed. It'll run in 5th (OD) at 65 when not towing.

Thanks. It's a Patriot Campers X3. I've been pretty impressed with how it tows on and off-road. Airbags make it super easy to level when setting up. With 300ah batteries and 35 gallons of water we can spend a decent amount of time boondocking. Same bolt pattern as the Tacoma too so I now have 3 extra spares if things get really eventful when we are out in the middle of nowhere.
