My 2016 MT Sport now has about 52K Miles - Hated the Grill, Put on the Pro - Did NOT like the Scoop, traded for an 2017 Off-Road hood. No complaints, Thankful I did not get the AT. If it got totaled tomorrow - I'd replace it. Clay

Love my sport and get complimented all the time on how great it looks. The color matched parts and hood scoop make it look more unique and sticks out way more than the typical non-sport models.

It's a 4x4 truck man. If you need crawl control or a locking diff to get you out of any situations other than hardcore rock crawling, you shouldn't be driving.

I just didn't want to settle for the OR. Love my useless hood scoop and had to have the MT. Never drove an OR but the sport really does well towing and handling on the highway.

OP, you can still negotiate the USAA price with the dealer. However, if that’s the model and configuration you want, and the dealer knows that you’re willing to travel to buy it from them, you’ll likely lose bargaining power. Try to work them down on the price, but be careful how far you push them lest someone else swoops in to buy it while you’re haggling.

Tbh, I regret not buying a SR or SR5 and spending the rest on mods... That’s if you’re a modding kinda guy.

Love my Sport, I am not an avid "offroader" or "Bro-lander"... Of course the two OR's and one Pro near by who I have spoken with will not take there "investments" or "40k truck" off-road and I certainly have in my Sport :itllbuffout:. Overall, get what you want - EASY PEASY

I definitely agree, but since I have to frequent the city, it would make parking a pita!

Thanks, I was under the impression that this was the final price, which tbh, was fair.

The difference really comes down to the locker vs hood scoop. Which would you rather have? Most every other 'upgrade' the Sport and OR get will be swapped for aftermarket if you do even a little bit of modding.

With that being said, I wouldn't dream of paying a few grand for a hood scoop. I wouldn't pay it for a locker, either, but if I had to choose? Locker without a question. Only reason I went with an OR over the SR5 4X4 was because the OR came in manual whereas the SR5 did not. The amount saved on the MT canceled out the extra cost of the OR trim package. I didn't want to pay the same price for the same truck without a locker and a transmission I didn't want.

If transmission isn't an issue, I'd recommend just going with an SR5 4X4.

That is not exactly true either. You may/may not have higher maintenance cost. The statement that OR will have higher insurance and less MPG is totally not true You can consider your statements as FAKE NEWS

Yup. Back in 2015 I went to the lot wanting an OR and settled for a Sport. If I would have gotten an OR, I would probably still have it. Went through 2 different vehicles before I came full circle and got what I wanted.

Hmm.. I got a 2011 with 70k miles for under $8k. Great shape too. Florida where cars are generally the cheapest nationwide (Miami area), check Craigslist. I know I might go against the stream here but I wouldn't want to spend 30k+ on a vehicle because any scratch or bump will cause serious heart break.
