TRD exhaust, Debadged, Tacoma door sill protectors, Weathertech DFL's, Twoplankers center console organizer, Escort S2 cordless radar detector, AFE Pro Dry S air filter, Ultra Type 62 wheels 17x8 et +10 w/ 108mm - 106.1mm hubcentric rings, 265/70/17 Goodyear Wrangler Duratracs, Bilstein 5100's - front set to .85, Nfab 2" step bars w/ LineX coating

Very nice! What do you have the 5100's set at? Stock coils? 5100's in back too or just the TSB? My '12 Sport came with the 4 leafs, and my 265/70/17 Duratracs shipped today. I may eventually go with the OME 3" lift and Dakars, but I don't want to do too much for several thousand miles to make sure there's no driveline issues. Your setup would be very nice for now, and might make me just want to keep it there.

Keep in mind that this size tire changes your speedo by 3.4% off. Meaning that at 60 your really doing 62. Therefore, your odometer is also 3.4% off. So basically if you get 300 miles on a tank, add 3.4% and its actually 310 miles that you got, which boosts about .5 - .75 mpg depending on your mpg before the change. People say the mpg's drop, and im not doubting that they do actually drop slightly, but not as much as you may think. Just food for thought. And if this information is totally wrong, please feel free to tell me how. I have given it a lot of thought and I cant see how this wouldnt make sense, but maybe I missed something, who knows. It a fairly simple concept IMO

EDIT: some will argue that our speedo comes from the factory with a 2mph difference and that by adding the 3% change actually makes the speedo dead on accurate... this may be correct, but there is no chance on the planet that out odo is off slightly when shipped from the factory. Not only is that illegal, but it just wouldnt make sense. So yes, maybe the speedo is now " more accurate" compared to before the tires, but the direct affect between mph an odo does not change. 3.4% applies everywhere, not just to 1 part. So that argument wont work. Just preparing for all the people that are going to tell me im wrong lol. Also remember that even if the mph is on fact 2mph slow from the factory, that means that from 0-120mph it is consistently 2mph different throughout. The 3.4% change is not a set mph difference. At 60 it means 62 but at 30 it is only 31 and 80 is actually 82.7. How long you drive at a any given mph does not matter. 3.4% on the speedo means exactly 3.4% on the odo no matter how you look at it.

    Mileage is off

The % comes from difference in circumference. The wheel size configurator machine thingy on here is a decent place to find that difference %.

1.75" with stock coils also have them on the rear with the TSB. I had toytec spacer lift with AAL, then changed to full OME 3" on my old tacoma, it was nice, but this setup is much better for daily driving.

don't take my word for it....here is the truck http://www.tacomaworld.com/forum/2nd-gen-builds/156506-psu-taco85s-swb-build.html

And just an FYI - I rub with my truck on 265/70/17's so I know your not pushing your truck if your not rubbing...here it is...VVV

A lift doesn't do shit for rubbing unless you extend your bump stops to lessen your travel - FACT

I have about a 2-3 year old Garmin Nuvi. With 265/75/16 my speedo says 60 and the Garmin says I'm going about 63. I've always been told to go by GPS speed not what the speedo says but "that was dirtbikes" I was not able to get a accurate reading with my stock tires and GPS, wish I would have. I hope that a stock Tacoma would be spot on with GPS, and by adding a bigger or smaller tire for that matter would make a difference. I understand the faster you go the more off the mph is, I just think a stock tire will yield the best mileage IMHOP. For example my old man has a 2010 2wd sr5 dc sb. His truck gets way better gas mileage than mine. Im not trying to compare apples to oranges but even factoring in the added weight of my 4wd and 1 inch tire size difference it makes me wonder?
